The Graphitic Steel rolls are
special high carbon steels with carbon content above
1.50%. The rolls are statically cast single poured
subjected to special heat treatment and inoculation.
The structure consists of
carbides in a pearlitic matrix with free graphite.
These rolls do not have hardness drop. They have
better strength and greater resistance to thermal
cracking than steel base rolls. |
